As a youngster, Charles appeared on The Magic Clown television show in New York City. As a teen, he did his escape act in the Riviera Terrace Night Club on Broadway. Since then, add the Roxy Theater on Sunset Strip, television specials at the Cannery in Newport Beach, numerous television and radio talk shows, and cable television specials, including, Good Morning Norfolk, Good Morning Baltimore (with Oprah), Mid Day LA, Hour Magazine, To Tell The Truth, and The Pat Boone Show. He appeared on more than a dozen radio and television programs for Kraft Foods. Charles has appeared live at Hollywood’s Magic Castle, the Seattle Convention Center, the Four Season Hotel, the Westin, the Sorrento, the Sheraton, in the private dining rooms and five star restaurants such as Canlis, Saltys, El Gaucho, the Space Needle’s revolving Sky City, the Columbia Tower Club, Maggiano’s, the Bellevue Art Museum, the Seattle Athletic Club banquet rooms, and the University Club. He provided shows throughout the Northwest, at weddings, promotionals, corporate events and private parties. He’s also appeared at hundreds of Los Angeles and Northern California venues including Disneyland and the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Bonaventure Hotel, and the Pasadena Hilton, Charles brings this vast experience with him when he does your show.
Charles has written extensively about many topics. His articles can be found in newspapers and magazines such as USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and The Baltimore Sun. He’s authored multipart series about performance for two respected trade publications, Genii, and Laugh Makers.
